Crissy's Running

My favourite of all the pics would have to be this one, an old fallen tree. The moss makes this pic perfect.

The other is of the slippery dip i would like to tackle next visit.

I will post some more tmw.

More pics

The beautiful Falls. One of.

Non running update, but...

Well... i have been doing some running and a little cycling, but will be making todays entry a little different.
(running update will come later on.)

I was taken away for the w/e and wanted to share some of the fantastic pics we managed to grab.
Went on the ferry to Queenscliffe, drove to Lorne where we bunked for the night, then went to a place called the Cumberland River.
This place was absolutely breathtaking! (if i could figure out how to use photo-bucket, i would put up more pics. but clearly it's not gunna happen!)
The sound of the river constantly trickling over the rocks was very theraputic. It had such a relaxing feel that had all the campers forgetting about the daily grind that they would have been accustomed to.
We walked probably 30 mins or so in total to come accross a fisherman that had cought himself an Eel. (hmm). Which was thrown back in.
We then found a pair of koala's cuddling high up in a tree. A little further ahead we came to some waterfalls that were oh so pretty. One of them had a perfect slippery dip that i'm sure to try out next time. (once i get over my fear of dark water and slime. eewe!) The golden syrup spa at the bottom would be quite invigerating i'm sure.
After basking in the sun on the top of the falls, we then headed a little further up river to find some fly fisherman. (not cathching anything, but i'm assured there are some good fish in there.)
There were also plenty of others taking to the tracks, enjoying such beautiful scenery.
We then washed our itchy legs with some fresh water, then headed back.
Took some more national geographic pics then headed back to Queenscliffe to find some accomodation and a big fat steak! (was famished)
That porterhouse was possibly the best damn steak i've ever sunk my teeth into!!
Actually, on the way there, we stopped in at Bells beach, which i must say was nothing too spectacular. Then went to the lighthouse (forgotten what it's called) which was pretty spesh. Beautiful views as you can well imagine.

Got up this morning to catch the 9am ferry, take the sexy little hire car (with the shit hot steza) back to Frankston, then be hit by a tonne of bricks back into reality.
Ahh....
So... all in all, i had a very nice w/e away with my boy, and have found my annual vacation destination, for SURE!

P.s bloody blooper blogger isn't letting me put up pics. will have to try one at a time.

Well.... it's been bloody ages since my last entry. so i am going to be quite brief.

Had my op (gall bladder removed) on Thurs 4th Oct. All went well. Went home next day. I had a fairly good lead up (training wise) as i wanted to be as fit and healthy as i could before op to assist recovery. This seemed to work as i was shuffling around the block 2 days after. Jumped on the ex bike on Sun for a very slow session. Approx 20mins. Then had another week off to finally return to a very slow run with K down at Pelican park for 4.5km's. Was only a little tender but very happy to be 'back at the desk' lol.

Anyway, you get the jist. Here are a few records that i managed to keep while i was being slack re the computer.

Mon 2 Oct- 8km, 50.08mins, 166-155
Wed 4 Oct- 7km, 41.03mins, 165-151
Thurs 5 Opperation
Mon 16 Oct- 4.5km, approx 27mins (i think) no watch
Wed 18 Oct- 5km+-, 31.52mins, 171-161
Sat 21 Oct- 6km, 36.51mins, 170-159
Mon 23 Oct- 8km, 52.24mins, 164-156
Slack attack for a week.
Mon 30 Oct- 8km, 51.39mins, 167-156
Wed 1 Nov- 6km, 36.14mins, 169-160

Todays run was med to hard. I wanted to see how i would cope as i am probably going to enter Arthurs Seat Challenge this Sunday. 6.7kms- up the mother of all hills!
My plan is to take things as they come, but i know i will try my hardest and nearly kill myself in the process.

I will get back to the weekly entry thingy next week. Just felt really guilty about neglecting my blog.

Toodloo.

P.S i'm not quite sure if i can say that this was actually brief. lol
